Director, Demand Management and Planning
Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Director, Demand Management & Planning, Global Supply Chain to lead our enterprise Demand Management and New Product Planning initiatives. This role will focus on establishing and maintaining clinical and product development program plans while ensuring that enterprise-wide demand—both clinical and commercial—is managed through a standardized and transparent process. Success in this position will be measured by the ability to support commercial Demand planning, reconcile current clinical demand with life-cycle-management, support new product indications, and provide key input multiple in-licensed assets, along with optimizing manufacturing and supply processes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Demand Management:
- Develop and implement a standardized process for demand management that aligns with the organization’s commercial and clinical objectives.
- Reconcile current clinical demand with new product indications and life- cycle-management strategies.
- New Product Planning:
- Lead the planning and execution of new product introductions, ensuring that all product development programs are well-coordinated and aligned with enterprise demands.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to integrate new products effectively into existing supply chain frameworks.
- Stakeholder Alignment:
- Engage and align enterprise stakeholders on Demand Management practices, ensuring adherence to standard work and fostering a culture of transparency.
- Facilitate regular communication and collaborative sessions with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment and support for demand initiatives.
- Optimization of Manufacturing and Supply:
- Analyze and optimize manufacturing capabilities to meet current and future demand while managing in-licensed assets.
- Work closely with supply chain partners to enhance efficiency and flexibility in execution.
- Life Cycle Management:
- Oversee life cycle management strategies for existing products, ensuring that demand planning reflects market trends, product performance, and competitive landscape.
- Utilize data analytics to inform decisions related to product life cycles and in-licensed assets.
- Performance Measurement:
- Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of Demand Management processes, new product launches, and overall supply chain optimization.
- Regularly report on progress to executive leadership and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, particularly in demand management and new product planning within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong knowledge of clinical demand dynamics, life cycle management, CMC activities, and supply chain optimization.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement.
Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands.
