Sr. Director, Commercial Cross-Functional Strategic Project Leader
Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.
Role Overview:
The Cross-Functional Strategic Project Leader is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects within scope, on time, and within budget. He or She will lead and coordinate project teams, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure that project objectives align with and deliver on organizational goals. This role is pivotal in driving project success and ensuring that organizational objectives are met through effective leadership and project execution.
This is an office-based role, either in Conshohocken, PA or Waltham, MA. Reports into Chief Commercial Officer and collaborates closely with Sales, Thought Leader Liaison, Patient Access and Medical Teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Project Planning and Management:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project goals.
- Team Leadership:
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team progress.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns proactively.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and resolve project issues to minimize disruptions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational objectives.
- Conduct reviews and obtain approvals at key project milestones.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor project progress using KPIs and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to senior management.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate project outcomes to identify lessons learned.
- Recommend improvements to processes for future projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 15+years of experience in biopharma, either in project management or a cross-functional leadership role. Experience in MASH and / or with related specialists, commercial operations and leading strategic initiatives preferred.

Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands.
