Senior Manager, Marketing Operations and Commercial Excellence
Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.
Role Overview:
The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations & Commercial Excellence will be a critical member of the US Marketing and Commercial teams who will help build the future of Madrigal. This is truly a unique opportunity to make a difference for the betterment of patients living with NASH. This individual will ultimately be responsible for leading and managing workstreams focused on operational systems, platforms, and processes to support Promotional Material Review (PRC), print operations, digital infrastructure, field communications, process improvement, budget, and so much more.
Position Responsibilities:
PRC Operations:
- Responsible for day-to-day promotional review committee (PRC) operations such as scheduling and facilitating PRC meetings and effectiveness, reinforcing PRC processes, managing Veeva workflows (submissions, QC, approvals, expirations, reporting), conducting PRC onboarding/training, etc.
- Support regulatory operations and promotional material submissions to FDA/OPDP (2253 and subpart H preclearance)
- Involvement with other critical operational workstreams may include (but not limited to), print vendor and fulfillment, Veeva CRM platform, and field collaboration support
- Manage the implementation of existing and new systems, platforms, and processes to support cross-functional teams while proactively identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies and effectiveness as the business evolves
- Responsible to help elevate, oversee, and continuously improve the commercial operations function
- Effectively collaborate to ensure alignment and success with cross-functional partners including Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Field, Market Access, Agencies, Vendors, etc.
- Manage multiple vendor and agency partners to drive critical workstreams forward, ensure appropriate resource allocation and timely delivery within financial constraints
- Act as lead for Marketing team to route Statements of Work (SOWs), amendments, and approve invoices, and process new supplier requests, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Monitor monthly accruals for each vendor to ensure invoices and projects align to the overall budget and SOW
- Support internal and external congress, exhibit, and sponsorship requests including the compliance review and approval process

- Demonstrated expertise in managing Veeva PromoMats, Veeva MedComms, Veeva CRM, Smartsheet, SharePoint and Microsoft Office
- Desire to professionally develop and gain more responsibilities resulting in greater impact
- Travel is required – up to 25% of the time (including weekends as needed)
- Required to be in office 3 days per week (Conshohocken, PA or Waltham, MA)
- Bachelor's Degree, Master’s degree preferred
- Candidate must have 5+ years of biopharmaceutical marketing and/or operations experience
- Must have direct experience with promotional review committee operations, Veeva PromoMats, and financial tracking systems
- 2+ years of experience in project management
- Experience successfully leading marketing operations during time of product launch in past 5 years
- Experience in smaller company (or team) environments is a plus
Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands.
