As the Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's strategic direction by providing actionable insights into market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry trends. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating competitive intelligence to key stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and maintaining our competitive edge in the market. As a pivotal member of our Market Insights team, the Associate Director of Competitive Intelligence holds the vital responsibility of uncovering actionable insights within the market landscape to drive strategic business decisions.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Unearth Actionable Insights: Delve into market dynamics to extract valuable insights that inform strategic direction.
  • Drive Superior Market Performance: Lead the collection, analysis, and dissemination of competitive intelligence to enhance market performance.
  • Monitor Competitor Activity: Vigilantly track competitor movements including news updates, product launches, pricing strategies, marketing campaigns, and social media engagement.
  • Utilize Robust Tools: Employ cutting-edge market research tools and databases to gather comprehensive and relevant data.
  • SWOT Analysis: Conduct detailed SWOT analyses to identify competitor strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Craft Compelling Reports: Develop insightful reports and presentations that articulate findings clearly and succinctly.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Share competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders across medical, marketing, sales, and leadership teams.
  • Transform Insights into Action: Translate insights into actionable recommendations, driving marketing strategies, product development, and pricing decisions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage in cross-functional projects where competitive intelligence plays a critical role.
  • Stay Industry Savvy: Remain abreast of industry news, trends, and insights to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business intelligence, or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in the requisite knowledge areas.
  • Bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, or equivalent roles within the Pharmaceutical or Life Science industry, showcasing a deep understanding of industry intricacies.
  • Exhibit proficiency in utilizing competitive intelligence software or tools, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Showcase strong analytical skills, skilled at synthesizing complex information and deriving actionable insights crucial for informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrate excellent research capabilities, adept at leveraging diverse sources to gather pertinent data essential for comprehensive analysis.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
  • Display the ability to work independently, efficiently managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of tasks within set timelines.
  • Embrace a collaborative mindset, fostering effective teamwork and synergy across cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.

Compensation:
Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits, which include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance.
